Calculating shipping without checking out
When you are in the cart, fill in your state and zip code, and click the "Get a Quote" button. We offer ground, freight, or free shipping, and you will usually only see one option. We minimize shipping costs as much as possible while maintaining fast delivery times. Not ready to order? Hit the back button or use the top menu to view other items.
How soon will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 1-2 business days. Orders that require custom cutouts and/or approval drawings typically take 7-10 business days to fabricate. Most are shipped in less time, and if you are unhappy for any reason whatsoever, we want to hear how we can make the situation right.
How long does delivery take?
FedEx ground delivery in the United States is 1-5 days anywhere in the country. Alaska and Hawaii generally have a 5-7 day delivery time.
Why is my only shipping option freight?
If you order stock sizes of our material, and your order is too heavy or long for FedEx ground, we'll automatically quote you a freight shipping rate. This might be a good time to go back to the product page and order your items cut to size, if possible. In most cases, these smaller, lighter pieces will be able to go FedEx.
Why is the freight option so expensive?
We're asking them to bring a semi-truck from our place to yours. If you order stock sizes of products that are really long (e.g. 25ft long tubing), it costs more because freight has an extra charge for items over 15ft in length. If you can, order your pieces cut to size.
My order is going FedEx, and it still looks expensive.
Shipping quotes are delivered in real-time from FedEx, so sometimes the combination of weight and dimensions may return a result that doesn't look right. If you think that has happened on your order, just give us a call at 507.299.0117 and we'll double-check the quote with FedEx.
Are there other freight companies you could use?
There is a trade-off between price and quality, and lower shipping costs are usually a good indicator of the condition of your items when they arrive. In our experience, nobody has shorter or quicker shipping lanes. We have also experienced less damage to our freight with R&L Carriers than with other companies. However, we can certainly utilize the shipping company of your choice.
Is my order insured?
Everything we ship carries enough insurance to cover the cost of any damage caused by the carrier.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We go to great lengths to package our shipments so that damage rates are virtually non-existent. As unlikely as it is, however, shipping damage does occasionally happen. It is important to make a note of the damage on any documentation before signing for the shipment. Secondly, damaged shipments must be reported within 15 days for a claim to be considered.
Why does the package weigh more than what my order says?
The shipping weight will be more than the actual weight since skids, boxes, and packaging material add weight to the order.

Returns & Replacements
If you receive your order and it hasn't been fabricated to the specifications and tolerances specified on the order, and ordering terms and conditions, or the dimensions and tolerances on a custom part drawing, we'll cover the return shipping costs for the defective parts, and we'll send out new parts at no charge. Please let us know within one week of receiving the defective parts.
Due to the high cost of shipping, the customized nature of the products, and the high cost of materials and fabrication, we do not accept returns on any products within tolerance.
Ordering is very simple and we have tried to make it as intuitive and user-friendly as possible. First off, you can create an account where items can be added to a wish list for future reference. If you have an account you can also track current orders, keep an order history, and receive promotional discounts. Of course you can also place an order as a guest.
Thousands of product listings would only complicate your experience here. So, a custom interface was developed where you simply select the type of material and profile in the menu. Once you get to the product page, it’s a simple matter of selecting the finish, material specs, and the quantity and size of the order. Automatic quantity discounts are also applied, so the more you buy the more you save per piece.
Payment, Pricing & Promotions
We offer extensive payment options which include American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and PayPal. If you wish to pay by check you may also do so, but be aware your order will only ship once payment has cleared.
Our pricing is some of the most competitive available and we do our best to balance pricing with service. We generally don't offer discounts, but you are very welcome to give us a call to discuss your order. Your business is welcome and w'll try to accommodate you as much as possible.
Promotions are periodically applied to certain categories, products, or users. This depends on any number of factors, but if you're a repeat customer you're more than welcome to ask about a discount.
You can manage all aspects of your order through your account, providing you set one up. We offer tracking information, return status if any, and the interface offers complete control over your order.
Updating Account Information
We encourage you to keep your account information up to date, and to periodically login to ensure your preferences stay current. If you forget your password, request a new one here. You will need your email address to retrieve lost passwords. A reset link will be sent and if you don't receive this within a minute or two, check your spam or bulk mail folder.
